Microsoft publishes a correct patch for IE6

As we evoked it recently, following the diffusion of the update 942615 within the framework of the last Patch Tuesday of the year, several users complained about problems of stability assigning the browser Internet Explorer. Particularly touched, version 6 of Internet Explorer under Windows XP SP2 with crash landings during the consultation of certain Web sites.

A patch for a patch

To mitigate this problem, Microsoft initially proposed a not very practical solution consistent in the handling of certain entries in register base; a generally misadvised operation. Yesterday, the world leader of the software put on line a patch dedicated to the...

correction of the problem.

For the users possibly concerned, the patch or updated 946627 can be repatriated since the Microsoft download center. To note in addition that so certain users gave a report on similar problems with IE7 under Windows XP and Vista, the investigations of Microsoft apparently did not confirm these problems.
